FINAL THOUGHTS | I love a good comeback story, especially a detective narrative. However, this one just hasn’t hooked me yet. That said, I give every Vella five episodes to hook me, and this one albeit short, paces really slow for a “thriller.” The numbers are good though! At 1,230 likes as of this writing, it sounds like readers enjoy it when they stick it out. But with all of the Vellas on my TBR, I sadly have to DNF Elizabeth Ellis, but that doesn’t mean you should!
Even though I’m moving Elizabeth Ellis to the DNF pile, that doesn’t mean readers shouldn’t read it for themselves!
