Author’s Synopsis | A prison disguised as an isolated town hides away the victims of neurological enhancements. The residents have the ability to control and influence the environment around them, but someone far more nefarious than them is in control and he has dark plans for the future. As a sacrificial murder causes the layers of perplexity to unfold, secrets beyond what goes on in The Tower begin to reveal themselves. In Beechwood, everyone has something to hide, and everyone is a suspect.

FINAL THOUGHTS | Beechwood is gripping from the onset for fans of more contemporary science fiction. It is a bit slow and lengthy for a Vella, but if you can get passed that, then you may love this story as much as I have!
Frillman nails down a voice that is engaging and mysterious as she takes us on a journey through the Beechwood characters’ lives, while also building the world deftly and carrying readers into the central conflict at hand, amidst a world of conflicts.
